I think I've decided that I don't really care for weekends. Daddy comes home, which is good, but he goes right to sleep when he gets home Saturday mornings. And it's my breakfast time! Mommy's always up by then during the week, but she stays in bed on weekends. Everybody should be up and awake bright and early on the weekends to spend more time with ME! Sometimes Mommy gets up and gives me my breakfast if I meow a lot, but then her goes right back to bed. Her ALWAYS eats breakfast with me during the week. Her gets up, takes a shower, and then goes downstairs and gives me my kibble for the day, and makes her breakfast and we eat at the same time. They leave me with no choice on Saturday mornings but to be a pain and keep meowing really loud all through the house to wake them up. They call me and try to get me to lay in bed too and sleep but I don't want to. so I keep meowing. And when they STILL don't get up, I go upstairs and roll around on my back on the floor and meow that I want to be petted. Usually Mommy gives up around then and comes downstairs with me and eats her breakfast.
Daddy stays in bed for a long time because he's so tired when he gets home from work. I don't know why. Mommy isn't that tired when she gets home from work. Well, 'cept lately, her lays down on the couch for a little bit sometimes before dinner, but that's okay because she lays with the soft blankie, so I lay with her on it and purr at her. I think her being tired has to do with her belly gettin bigger. I don't know why. I don't know about the whole belly-growing thing yet. Her doesn't pick me up as much when I flop on my back, just crouches down to pet me. And when her's sitting on the couch, I'm not allowed to walk on her belly anymore. I still lay on her lap though, so it's okay, and she pets me. I just hasta be careful around her belly for some reason. Humans are weird.
But now that Mommy's up, I gotsta go patrol the windows. Lotsa birdies and squirrels to chatter at these days...
